On the evening of November 21, the library gathered lovers of Armenian literature and music, friends and associates of the National Library. The Director of the National Library awarded composers Tigran Mansuryan, Arzas Voskanyan and Yervand Yerkanyan with personalized medals dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the founding of the library, for popularizing Armenian poetry in the "language" of music. The Director also noted them for donations, public lectures and support of library programs.
Among the awardees were geographer and cartographer Ruben Galichyan, poet and literary critic Henrik Edoyan, literary critic and translator Ashot Aleksanyan and others.
The library guests listened to music by Komitas, Tigran Mansuryan, Arzas Voskanyan and Yervand Yerkanyan performed by the Arar choir (artistic director - Gor Melkumyan), got acquainted with the founding documents of the library of 1919 and other archival materials in the recently opened history hall of the National Library.
