The National Library of Armenia was replenished with books of exceptional value, which were donated by the geographer and cartographer Ruben Galchyan. The donated publications are distinguished by authors' autographs, having not only bibliographic, but also historical and cultural importance. One of the donated books is the 1948 edition of Paruyr Sevak's book "Immortals Command". The author's autograph has been preserved on the title page of the book, which he dedicated the book to his friends on June 3, 1949. "By the hand of dear Rafael Botzens, to my pen pals in Tiflis, acquaintances and strangers, with the expectation of meeting in the near future and with this best wish that only philologists could have."
The 1909 edition of Oscar Wilde's book "День рождения инфанты" ("The Infanta's Birthday") is also of special value, on which the autograph of the famous artist Vardges Surenyants has been preserved. On February 18, 1910, he dedicated the book to his sister, writing: "Дорогой сестре в воспомининие тяжёлоых дней пережитых вместе" ("In memory of my dear sister, we survived hard days together").
These exclusive publications, which bear the autographs and memorial notes of prominent figures of Armenian culture, will find their rightful place in the Autographs and Personal Collections section of the Inviolable Literature Department of the Armenian National Museum, enriching the national heritage and creating new opportunities for researchers and readers.
