The press collection of the National Library of Armenia continues to be enriched with Armenian periodicals published abroad. The newspapers Azdak, Zartonk, Ararat, their special editions, as well as a number of other journals, newspapers, and periodicals, have been donated to the library by Gevorg Yeazejian, a supporter and friend of the National Library, historian, Armenologist, bibliographer, and researcher of the Armenian press. It is worth noting that over the years, thanks to his donations, the library’s collection has grown by more than 2,500 items.
During the latest addition, Gevorg Yeazejian also donated to the library rare items from his personal collection that had previously been absent from the library, including Hyusisapayl, Droshak, Yarraj, Shirak, Nor Or, Araks, Shoghakat, Hay Tert, Dzayn Bazmats, Zavarian, Razmik, Chragu, Nairi, Vahagni Kanch, children’s magazines, and other publications—significantly contributing to the study and preservation of the Armenian press.
The National Library of Armenia highly values and expresses its deep gratitude to Gevorg Yeazejian for his significant contribution to the preservation of the Armenian press and the enrichment of the national library collection.
