For 20 years now (since 2004), the Armenian Press Day has been celebrated in Armenia on October 16. 230 years ago, on this day, October 16, 1794, the first brainchild of the Armenian press, Azdarar, was published in Madras (you can find the edition at the Printing Museum of the National Library of Armenia). In honor of this event, the Armenian Press Day was established by the decision of the Armenian government on April 22, 2004.
