On February 11, the National Library of Armenia's Tamanyan Great Hall hosted an unforgettable gathering of library employees with People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia, film director and recipient of multiple international honors, Harutyun Khachatryan. The event was organized by the National Library of Armenia and the Union of Filmmakers of Armenia to introduce the library community to the creative path of the prominent filmmaker and the world of cinema.

Representatives from several provincial libraries as well as the Yerevan Isahakyan City Central Library and Community Libraries attended the occasion. Arayik Manukyan, Chief Advisor to the President of the Union of Cinematographers of Armenia, hosted the event and gave a presentation on Harutyun Khachatryan's films, emphasizing the ten films that were screened exclusively at the Pompidou Center in Paris in October and November of last year.

The illustrated album "The Man from the White City..." which was released to commemorate the director's 70th anniversary was given as a gift to every library that took part in the meeting, together with professional film literature. Harutyun Khachatryan's film "The White City" was shown at the conclusion of the event.
