On April 14, HLA employees Nerses Hayrapetyan, Maya Hayrapetyan, and Anitsa Genjyan were on a working visit to the Gegharkunik region as part of the National Library Week program. During the visit, the annual subsidy from the Cooperation and Book Exchange Department supplied approximately 400 units of literature in the libraries of seven community and Gegharkunik village secondary schools, as well as the Gegharkunik regional library.

The Gegharkunik Regional Library hosted an event named "Book, Fairy Tale and Song," in which National Library staff members took part. In his welcome speech, Nerses Hayrapetyan highlighted the role of libraries in contemporary society, emphasizing that libraries are crucial hubs for knowledge transmission, education advancement, and communal life in addition to being book repositories. He also discussed the necessity of implementing cutting-edge strategies in community and school libraries, pointing out that contemporary libraries must keep up with the digital era, create new services, and guarantee that everyone has greater and equal access to knowledge.

In particular, Nerses Hayrapetyan stressed the importance of maintaining and advancing the culture of reading by highlighting the importance of bolstering regional and local libraries.
