On February 12, students from the Faculty of History and Social Sciences of the Armenian State Pedagogical University visited the National Library of Armenia, accompanied by Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor V. Virabyan, and Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor S. Khachatryan.

Balasan Harutyunyan, Director of the Printing Museum of the National Library of Armenia, guided the visitors through the museum, presenting the history of Armenian printing as well as the museum’s unique and remarkable exhibits.

The students and professors were welcomed by Haykanush Ghazaryan, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the National Library, who introduced them to the history of the library’s foundation and answered their questions. After touring the exhibition dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Kostan Zarian in the library’s grand Tamanian hall, the students also became acquainted with the digitization efforts carried out at the National Library of Armenia.

At the end of the tour, the students visited the library’s general and arts reading halls.
