On September 1, Knowledge Day, let us remember those who contributed to science, education, and the development of the professional sphere. Among such people was the teacher, and librarian-bibliographer Karapet Katsakhyan (1919-1996). Karapet Katsakhyan, a long-time employee of the National Library of Armenia, was born today, September 1, in Akhaltsikhe, Javakhk.
1967 after working in the replenishment department of the Myasnikyan Republican Library (National Library of Armenia), then moved to the bibliographic department.
Katsakhyan's bibliographic legacy is difficult to overestimate. His contribution to the field of analytical bibliography is enormous. The result of his many years of work are the bibliographies of the periodicals "Murch", "Luma", "Experience", "Eminyan Ethnographic Collection" and others. Karapet Katsakhyan also participated in the compilation of the first book of the bio-bibliography "Avetik Isahakyan".
