National library collections are held worldwide in national and academic libraries. Over the past twenty years, national museums have expanded their collections with digitized and virtual materials. Electronic documents are an important component of digital heritage preservation, but their storage faces several challenges.

On June 16-18, the Director of the National Library of Armenia Anna Chulyan took part in the Conference of European National Librarians (CENL) in Warsaw, where she presented the history of the formation of the National Library of Armenia and the concept of a digital library.

The creation and development of the electronic collection at the National Library will ensure the preservation of the digital cultural heritage of Armenia for future generations. Changing the legal framework, expanding technical capabilities, and developing international cooperation in this direction is necessary.
