On April 7, the National Library of Armenia hosted a literary evening and exhibition honoring the work of the "Actual Art" publishing as part of the bimonthly Francophonie program. The library's presidential hall hosted an exhibition of the publishing house's literature, showcasing significant and priceless works released over the years.
The event also featured the presentation of the “Baroque” magazine issue (#24(30)) of the "Actual Art" magazine, which is published with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
The exhibition was followed by a discussion of the “Baroque” magazine, during which speakers Shushan Hyusnunts, David Mosinyan, and Araks Shahinyan addressed the magazine’s content features, its cultural value, and its relevance. They emphasized that “Baroque” is not only a thematic magazine but also a special forum for fostering discussion between various artistic expressions, historical contexts, and modern viewpoints.
During the event, Anna Chulyan, Director of the National Library of Armenia, highlighted that Mkrtich Matevosyan and "Actual Art" also played a significant role in the creation of the National Library's Museum of Printing and in the distinctive design of the Library's History Museum, which opened on the occasion of the National Library's 105th anniversary. She added that Mkrtich Matevosyan is the creator of the National Library's new logo, which has drawn praise from both Armenian and foreign partners.
The National Library of Armenia came up with a topical gift for the symbolic day: a separate collection of the "Actual Art" publishing house has been opened in the general catalog of Armenian libraries, where all of the publishing house's books—roughly 225 titles—are presented in a single link. https://is.gd/h93P7e
