An event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Armenian prose writer, playwright, publicist, screenwriter, director, editor and painter Aghasi Ayvazyan was held at the National Library of Armenia, which was aimed at appreciating and publicizing the writer’s rich creative heritage. PhD Ani Pashayan, a literary critic, editor, and journalist, delivered a public lecture at the event. Narine Gevorgyan, head of the General Reading Hall of the National Library of Armenia, welcomed the participants and introduced the speaker.
Ani Pashayan discussed the key themes of Aghasi Ayvazyan's literary, cinematic, and creative endeavors in her talk. She also discussed the variety of themes in his works and the quirks of character development. In addition, the speaker shared her recollections of her interactions with the author, highlighting Ayvazyan's artistic nature, his commitment to Armenian culture, and his spiritual ties to Tbilisi.
The occasion included the opening of a literary exhibition that showcased the author's creative legacy, including prose and dramaturgical works, film scripts, art albums, photos, and other items from the National Library's collections.
