Interesting programs and new media literacy initiatives are still to come. The Media Initiatives Center, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, organized a three-day media literacy course with the goal of enhancing librarians' media literacy abilities and encouraging the growth of media literacy culture within the library setting.

The training was attended by Armine Vardanyan, Head of the Public Relations Department from the National Library of Armenia, as well as representatives from the Khnko Aper National Children's Library, Yerevan Av. Isahakyan City Library, and ten regional libraries of the republic. Lusine Grigoryan, a media literacy specialist from the Media Initiatives Center, Ani Yeghiazaryan, and Gegham Vardanyan, editor of the center's Media.am website, led the training.

The three-day intensive program covered topics such as the fundamentals of media literacy, critical thinking techniques, fact-checking tools, digital security guidelines, and the potential applications of artificial intelligence in media and library work. The participants received certificates at the end of the course, but this is only the first step; they will continue to use and share the knowledge they have learned, encouraging staff and patrons in their libraries to become media literate.
