The National Library of Armenia was visited by respected figures of the Armenian community of Albania — brothers Varuzhan and Perch Piranyan. They were received by the director of the National Library Anna Chulyan and the deputy director for scientific work Haykanush Ghazaryan.

Varuzhan Piranyan has been the Honorary Consul of Armenia in Albania since 2016. Public figure, engineer Perch (Vahram) Piranyan — Armenologist and dictionary compiler — donated to the National Library editions of his Armenian-Albanian dictionary — a large-scale work dedicated to Indo-European languages and Armenian-Albanian relations, as well as a new collection of poems by Yeghishe Charents, translated by him into Albanian. Before this, Piranyan had already donated two volumes of Charents’s poems to the library in his translation into Albanian. New gifts from the Armenian diaspora have been added to the valuable collections at the National Library. With the permission of the copyright holder, digital copies of these books will soon appear in the database Armenian Book of the National Library.
