The delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic, H.E. Petr Pirunčík, was on a working visit to the National Library of Armenia today. The delegation also included Deputy Ambassador Jakub Lewandowski, Assistant to the Ambassador Siranush Hakobyan, and Head of the Public Diplomacy and Production Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Eliška Česlárová. Accompanied by the Director of the National Library of Armenia, Anna Chulyan, the delegation toured the Tamanyan branch of the library and got acquainted with the library’s multifaceted activities.

Several potential initiatives to improve Armenian-Czech collaboration, cultural, and scientific connections were discussed during the visit. At the center of the conversations was the promotion of cultural heritage. The growth of professional collaboration and the potential for jointly translated literature publication received special emphasis.

The parties expressed gratitude for the successful collaboration between the National Libraries of the two nations, stressed the value of communication, and reiterated their readiness to increase collaboration in several contemporary library-related areas.
