“Yerevan Card” is the official city pass which is a unique mean of using almost all the services offered in the city on preferential terms. The card gives the right of free visit to the museums, attractions, free participation in the city tours and usage of city transport.

In 2013 with the direct financial support of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and Hovsep Tahta was opened the Digitization Center of the National Llibrary of Armenia, donated appropriate equipments that have further enhanced the library’s technical capabilities, to make library materials available online to the general public.

In 2016, Tahta Hovsep has visited to National Library of Armenia and expressed satisfaction for the work done.

Was born in 1914, in Istanbul, Turkey. She and her family were deported to Eregli and then Konya in 1915. In 1920, the Kondayans were allowed to return to Istanbul, where Arsine attended the Uskudar Girls Gollege and graduated from the American College for Girls. Arsine emigrated to the United States in 1946 and lived for a year and a half in New York City, then, moved to Los Angeles, and worked in banking. She was active in Armenian Allied Sciences organization in LA. In 1971, she moved to San Diego and married Dr. Seth Arsenyan, who had retired after 30 years of teaching at Springfield College.

Arsine Arsenyan died September 17, 2008.

According to the will, 100.000 dollars were allocated to National Library of Armenia in 2010. By that means, the Digitization Center of the library was established, renovated and provided with modern technical capabilities, as well as renovated and furnished the reading hall after Hovhannes Petrosyan of bibliographic reference literature and electronic media service.

The management, staff and thousands of readers of the National Library of Armenia express their deep gratitude and homage to the memory of the Arsenyan spouses.

Jia Ayvazyan was born in Greece in the city of Kavala. Jia graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Her qualifications are: Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, Master in Library Science and Candidate in Philosophy in the Narekatsi Chair in Armenian Studies, UCLA.

Lebanese-Armenian benefactor Ralph Yirikyan is the General Manager of Vivacell-MTS Armenia. On 8 December, 2007 Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II awarded him “Order of St. Gregory the Illuminator” for his church-building and national benefit activities. The Armenian National Academy of Sciences has awarded Ralph Yirikian golden medal for the company’s huge investments into education and science fields. A wide range of humanitarian ideas were launched in the Motherland by means of the company he leads.

Ralph Yirikian implemented charitable programs in the National Library of Armenia – renovation of the administrative building. In addition, in 2007 he donated 10 million AMD to NLA on the occasion of the Library’s 175^th anniversary. Ralph Yirikian was awarded NLA’s medal after Hakob Meghapart. He is Library’s honorary reader. His name is registered in the “Book of Honor” of the National Library of Armenia.

On September 16, in National Academy of Sciences of RA a Cooperation Memorandum was signed between National Academy of Sciences of RA, National Library of Armenia and “Ucom” company. Within the framework of cooperation Ucom will provide the reading halls of the Fundamental Library of the Armenian Academy of Sciences and Armenian National Library with free Wi-Fi Internet. With this initiative, Ucom provides a comprehensive solution, allowing readers to use the Internet right in the reading room, without being cut off from work.
